Meet Our Team!

Sarah is one of the most versatile teachers on staff. She can be found reading stories to Kindergarten in the most silly of voices, teaching deep concepts in middle school Bible, or grading essays for High School English. She is a speech pathologist, works at Life Community, and the mother of three beautiful children. 

The second member of the "Vaughan Dynamic Duo," Robert's schedule as a fireman allows him to team-teach with Sarah. He has taught everything from chemistry to government. He is full of jokes, well-versed in apologetics, but most of all passionate about pointing children to Jesus.

Rachel is the sweetest of spirits, which makes her perfect for stepping in to help. Her enthusiasm for projects is contagious. She is quick to encourage and students are eager to please her. Rachel is also a hairdresser and mother of 4 fabulous kids!

Mary is stay-at-home mom of 5! She is an excellent communicator, fabulously organized, and incredibly dependable. She ensures every lesson is thoughtfully planned, every resource is ready, and every student’s needs are anticipated. 

 Heather, mother of four, is both teacher and cook extraordinaire. Whenever she is not teaching in the classroom, you will find her in the kitchen preparing everyone's lunch! Her passion for common sense and life skills bring a well-roundedness to our students.

With a warm smile and a voice as sweet as  iced tea, Becky brings her Southern charm into every lesson. She is as patient as they come and loves to make connections between classic texts and modern life. She is the mother of three and enjoying life with her new grandbaby!  

Amy is the kind of teacher who quietly goes above and beyond without ever seeking the spotlight. She’s the one bringing in creative games to make learning fun. She is also the one grabbing a broom or taking out the trash when no one is looking. Her humility and hard work create a space where students not only learn, but truly enjoy being there. She is the "fun mom" of two outstanding kiddos.  

Cookie, the mother of two beautiful boys, can often be found walking the halls praying over our students. Her relationship with Jesus spills over into her relationships with her students. Her overcoming spirit is an inspiration to every person that comes in contact with her. She is feisty and fun, and she leads well!

Kimi is one the newest members of our team, but she is certainly not new to homeschooling! She has graduated her oldest and is still in the trenches with her youngest. This year, she is joining us in the classroom and we are so excited to have her!

Mary is new to us, but not new to the classroom! She is normally found with high school students, but this year she will be teaching history to the middle grades! Her infectious laugh and buckets of energy are sure to give the students a great year!

Marijean is also new to the team this year, but you may recognize her from carline. Rain, sleet, snow, or hail...nothing stopped her from delivering your kiddos at the end of the day. She is always ready with a bright smile and encouraging word, so we look forward to expanding her duties!
